San Francisco, CA: Beatitude, 1972. First Edition. Stapled. Very Good. 67pp. Quarto [28cm]. Printed wraps. Mild yellowing and creasing at edges. There is a moderate amount of rust on and around staples that bind the periodical. Very good. Twenty-fourth issue of a small press poetry magazine dedicated to the San Francisco Beat Poetry movement. Many local poets, who later found international notoriety, were published here for the first time as their work was not considered "acceptable" by most mainstream publishing houses at the time. With poetry by Pablo Neruda, Michael McClure, Jack Hirschman and many more. This issue features founder Bob Kaufman on the cover. Features a poem entitled, "Salt Lake City," by Neeli Cherkovski.
