1940. Hardcover. Good. Oblong quarto measuring 13" x 10". String-tied stiff paper boards. Contains 79 sepia-toned or black and white gelatin silver photographs measuring between 2" x 2" and 8" x 10" with some captions on the verso. Good only lacking the front boards, short tears, and detached but present pages with near fine photographs.

An album of photos taken by an amateur photographer in the 1940s mostly of his young wife, Rosemary. The album starts with a large photo of Rosemary and her husband kissing and holding each other on a sofa. From there he includes portraits of Rosemary in various poses and outfits including a top hat, on a scooter, driving a car, and in a bikini. One set of photos shows Rosemary in different poses in a forest. The photos are often artistic and Rosemary is seen pouting, in pinup style poses, and in candids. Only a few photos have captions written on the verso including one of Rosemary in an off the shoulder top which reads, "don't worry it won't fall off." It seems Rosemary liked being a model and she is happily posing throughout the album. Also included are photos of her husband, presumably the photographer, seen in some beach candids and in one photo in his army uniform. Some of the images are from the couple's travels including their honeymoon, which appears to have been on the West Coast, with images of landmarks, locals, and the couple themselves.

An interesting collection of better than average amateur photography of a couple in the 1940s.
