Inscribed by Virginia author Edna Turpin to Mr. and Mrs. James Southall Wilson (he being the revered Professor of English at the University of Virginia, as well as Founder of the Virginia Quarterly Review) and dated Christmas 1920. There is an additional card from Edna Turpin laid in: "I hope you will enjoy this little book the more because it has a picture of Margaret Montague which I took at her home last spring to which she has added her autograph". Pasted in is the signed photograph. As well there is laid in a card from James Southall Wilson to his daughter giving her the book. A very good copy in a dustjacket which separated at the spine fold; there is some loss to the spine. Some old tape residue to the pastedown. The dustjacket has not been price-clipped and is now protected with a new mylar cover. Very Good binding / Fair dust jacket.
