SIGNED. 324pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Tan cloth over boards with blue lettering on the backstrip and the publisher's device stamped in blue ink on the front cover. Publisher's green top stain. The spine is rolled, and the endsheets are darkened along the hinges. In the age-toned dust jacket. The bottom half of the front inside flap has been torn out (still present), and there are several dark tape stains on the flap. There is a 1" closed tear in the paper at the foot of the jacket's spine. The second book in the "Testament of Man" series. This copy is signed by Vardis Fisher on the title page.
