Also includes Hardy's personal bookplate from Max Gate on the front pastedown. A solid copy to boot of the 1903 1st edition. Tight and VG+ in its green cloth, with clean paper title label at the spine. Light offsetting to the preliminaries, light, inoffensive glue remains at the lower front pastedown. Octavo, dedicated to Maurice Maeterlinck, striking frontispiece portrait of Eleonora Duse.
