Rome: American Institute of Musciology. Edited by Armen Carapetyan. Vols. 2-35 (1948-1981), original stiff printed wrappers, b/w illus., music, quaro format. Vols. 2, 3, 4, and 6 were each issued in two parts per year, but all the remainder issued as single annual volumes. Starting with v. 28 (1974), the imprint changed to Hännsler-Verlag in Germany. Also present is the separate index volume for the first twenty years (1946-1966). Very nice lengthy 34-year run of this important journal in early music history.
