Book condition: Good ex-library copy, with gently rubbed and bumped edges, faint soiling to covers and edges of text block, abraded bumps to top corner of cover and head of rear board, printed library label affixed to front paste down, and clear tape repair to gutter between half-title and title pages. Title page has a short creased tear in top edge and a small perforated New York Library stamp not affecting text, and page V has numerical stamp covered over with white numerical label at foot. Color fold-out maps have a couple of creases, short tears and tiny losses, and two have been repaired with clear tape that has yellowed; one of which has separated, and is laid in. Pages are clean and tight. Includes travel, statistical, ethnological, historical archaeological and general information with many color fold-out maps. Rare.
