London, 1907. First Edition. Letter. Very good. Dear [M], I return you the paper you gave me to read, I do not quite see how I can do the duties of treasurer for the entertainment, as I do not know any of the people who are setting it up, or of the Musical or Dramatic Profession, so if I did act as treasurer, the people setting it up would only wonder, why I was interfering in what I know nothing about. Also I suspect to be much occupied with business of one sort or another in the coming months, so should not have the time. It is very kind of you to wish me to do it for you, but I am sorry to say I cannot. Yours sincerely, /Devon. Folding leaf, written on three pages, removed from album.
