Dear [M], I return you the paper you gave me to read, I do not quite see how I can do the duties of treasurer for the entertainment, as I do not know any of the people who are setting it up, or of the Musical or Dramatic Profession, so if I did act as treasurer, the people setting it up would only wonder, why I was interfering in what I know nothing about. Also I suspect to be much occupied with business of one sort or another in the coming months, so should not have the time.
