Tall octavo (29cm). Patterned wrappers; 16pp. Fine. This copy additionally inscribed in blue ink on title page, "For David [Jackson], from James [Merrill] with love [...] and with love also from Stephen [Yenser]," dated 1986. There was a simultaneous deluxe edition (15 copies) in boards. A lovely presentation copy from James Merrill and Stephen Yenser to Merrill's long-time partner David Jackson; Yenser was at this time in the midst of working on his critical volume on Merrill, The Consuming Myth (published 1987).
