It is unclear if the poem is meant as a farewell for a loved one moving away or passing away. The poem is four stanzas long, the first of which is below:

Farewell- but ever bear in mind
the kindred heart you leave behind;
It's throbbing fainies [sp? feigns] truth would tell,
It almost bursts to say farewell
