Very Good. Indenture, mounted and framed. Nottinghamshire, April 4th, 1839, between John Taft of Stapleford and William Enfield. NP: NP, ND. Book condition: Very good indenture; the vellum is slightly wavy, with faint wrinkling in a few limited areas. The handwritten contractual text is very subtly faded. The red wax seal has been gently flattened by the glass pane. The indenture has shifted slightly on the card-stock mount, leaving a slight shadow, and some glue residue. The gilt wooden frame bears scant bumps and nicks, and the glass pane is clean and free of scratches. Square blue seal with embedded silver, embossed, and overlaid with ink stamp. Indenture: 29"" x 24"" Frame: 38"" x 32 1/4"". Please inquire for photos.
