Basle, Switzerland: Holbein Publishing Company, 1946. First English-language edition. Thin folio [39 cm] Nine pages of text with 8 of 10 tipped-in plates. Laid in to thin card boards with a plain dust wrapper. The dust wrapper is a bit stained, and there is a contemporary gift inscription on the title page, however the plates are in very clean condition, with mild toning. Lacking numbers 2 and 4. Tipped-in plate #7 is detached from the mount, but present. English version by Robert Allen and Douglas Cooper. Produced approximately 6 years after Klee's death. Scarce.
