"Love At All Ages" marks the penultimate book in Thirkell's Barsetshire series ("Three Score and Ten" was finished by C.A. Lejeune, shortly after Thirkell's death in 1961). Like the others, this is a lightly satirical romantic comedy set in provincial Barsetshire county, as its residents deal with post-WW2 life, love, and opportunity.
