[Plains, GA], 1998. Letter. Wrinkling to the right margin including Carter's writing but with no detrimental effect. Near Fine. On the first page of a letter to Carter, in which the writer describes a chair he purchased at an auction at the Historic Bayside Inn in Annapolis with Carter's name on it, Carter humorously responds in this handwritten note: "To James Carrier-- I'm sorry, but I don't remember anything about the chair -- Someday, I'd be glad to sit in it, if that would help --" and SIGNED "Jimmy C."
