Complete in 3 volumes and including the fragile, very uncommon dustjackets. Each volume tight and Near Fine, with no writing or markings of any kind internally. And each in a crisp, price-intact, VG- to VG dustjacket, with varying amounts of light, forgiveable chipping along the panel edges and the spine ends. A bit of light soiling and spotting as well to the front and rear panels in addition to several small closed tears, Still though very presentable and uncommon as such, in the original dustjackets. Tall, uniform quartos, "with three hundred and twenty plates from drawings by the author". And finally, a nice piece of laid-in ephemera accompanies this copy, a charming 1 pg. March 1946 typed letter from the Liberty Book Shop of New York informing a potential customer that the shop "has an opportunity to buy the Early American Wrought Iron Set of 3 Vols. by Sonn which you are interested in. These, I can guarantee, will be placed in your hands in very good condition with dustwrappers.
