Born in the Bolivian Andes, the author Primo Castrillo emigrated to the United States in the 1920s where he made a career as a New York City architect. Nevertheless, he never ceased to write poetry, publishing numerous Spanish-language collections over the course of nearly four decades, this his fifth.
