[Archive]: Kodak Carousel with 75 Full Color Slides for a Marketing Presentation in the Mid-1980s
- Unbound
- 1986
1986. Unbound. Fine/Fine. A carousel slide projector. The example pictured is a Kodak Carousel model 4400, dating from the mid-1980s. One Kodak Slide Carousel for a slide projector not included in this archive. There are 75 full color slides. In complete and fine condition.
The slides are for a presentation about the options for sales and marketing for the company and it’s slide projectors. Most of the slides feature advertisement photography featuring abstract floral art, kids ice skating or making snow men, food, car parts, a lobster playing the piano, instruments, and fashion ads. Other slides show the presenters including Richard Riley, Jerry Burd, Norman Kerr, and Sherry Smith-Thompson. Finally, a few briefly state the goals of marketing to show that the images taken with Kodak cameras can then be used by professional companies as a way to advertise the products to the public. Some slides show that the company was attempting to push for more slide projectors and light boxes to be used during this time as a few of the slides show a set up of how a projector projects the images onto a cloth drop while others show lightboxes hanging in restaurants and department stores.
