New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 1957. Fourth Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good binding/Very Good dust jacket. One of four novels penned by Patrick Dennis under the name Virginia Rowans. House Party first appeared in 1954 (the years before Auntie Mame, his first novel as Patrick Dennis). This copy is a 1957 fourth printing with states on the front of the dustjacket, for obvious reasons, “with an introduction by Patrick Dennis, author of ‘Auntie Mame’”. Dennis states “House Party is gay and full of fun ... In fact I wish I’d written it myself.” ~~The dustjacket has shelfwear, with the beginning (about 2”) of separation to the front joint, and a short closed tear of about 1”; minor loss to the top of the spine. It is not price-clipped and is now protected with a new mylar cover. There are no marks of any kind in the book. Very Good binding / Very Good dust jacket.
