New York City: Heppenheimer & Mauer, 1883. The card lacks about 3/4" at right end; perhaps a ticket "stub" cut off?. A 4 3/4" x 7 1/2" invitation to a German Social Club masked ball held at Teutonia Assembly Rooms in New York City. Held on February 12, 1883 (Lincoln's Birthday). Fine printing and elaborate scene of elegant woman accepting a gentleman's arm. Reverse is blank except for "539" stamped in red ink.
