(B&W photographs, added by previous owner) Five screenplays (in French) by Clair, with his introduction and notes on each: LE SILENCE EST D'OR; LA BEAUTÉ DU DIABLE; LES BELLES-DE-NUIT; LES GRANDES MANŒUVRES; PORTE DE LILAS. These make up the bulk of his postwar work. NOTE that a previous owner of the book has, at several points throughout, affixed small photographs (probably cut from magazines) that are relevant to the films; there are also occasional marginalia in ink. .
