Morelia, Michoacán (Mexico): H. Ayuntamiento Constitucional de Zitácuaro Michoacán. Very Good. (c.1998). First Edition. Softcover. [worn and slightly damaged along spine, light external soiling and surface wear to covers]. (B&W photographs, facsimiles, map) INSCRIBED and SIGNED (by the author, I believe) on the half-title page; the inscription (in Spanish) is to an American colleague, and also describes the book as being (per my rough translation) about "a life dedicated to the work and discipline of a young man who fought to the end to be a FAM pilot" (FAM being Fuerza Aérea Mexicana, the Mexican Air Force). The book is primarily about the most notable episode in the life of Miguel Carrillo Ayala (1908-1965): his historic 1936 solo flight -- in an airplane he built himself, dubbed "Pinocho" -- from Zitácuaro to Mexico City, a distance of about 150 km. In Spanish. .
