Le Havre, France: L'Art Penultieme (Etude & Promotion de l'Art Contemporain), 2002. Hardcover. Fine. A wild, very creative 2002 French artist's book, with text by Gilbert Lascaux and the (highly eroticized) photography by Antoine Poupel. Bound in a hideous, bright-green astroturf over gaudy pink boards, and with a 3-dimensional breast (and its bright-red pierced nipple) jutting out from the front panel. This is one of 35 lettered copies (letter 'X") within a larger limitation of 120 copies and, as such, includes an original print, which is laid-in at the base of the matching, remarkable chemise. THIS LETTERED COPY IS ALSO SIGNED AT THE LIMITATION BY BOTH THE AUTHOR AND THE PHOTOGRAPHER. The text and the plates are all pasted-in and are in immaculate condition. Creative and very impressive.
