Letter composed by the treasurer of the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, addressed to Congressman Pendleton following negative commentary made during a visit to Lowell, Massachsuetts, regarding Northern industrialists accruing massive wealth off cotton mills while supporting tarriffs.
