London: De La Rue, 1850. Light wear.. An interesting take on the whist counter. Consists of four (4) die-cut pieces. Two back to back slides of diamonds and spades with two octagonal pieces that also move to mark the specific card. Each piece slides independently. Each slide marked De Le Rue & Co with the company's logo on the ends of the paper slides. Octagonal pieces decorated with the various suits and one with the King and Queen; the other the Jack and Knave. Measures 2" x 6 1/4". A scarce find. De La Rue. Established 1835.
