Miss is a famed French spanking novel by Sadie Blackeyes, a pseudonym of Pierre Dumarchey, published in 1912 by Collection des Orties Blanches and illustrated with six illustrations by Louis Malteste. It is the first part of a two-part-novel, the second part being Quinze ans (1913). This edition, published in 1920, is the first English translation. Vanishingly scarce in any condition, though fragile, a very presentable copy. Light shelf/edge wear, hint of toning to wrappers, textblock moderately toned and fragile (pulp paper), first two leaves free but present, tidemarks at spine shown on first several pages, else tight and unmarred. Cream paper wraps, red and brown ink lettering and decorative elements. Small 8vo. 191pp.
