By Dmytryk, Edward, and Jean Porter Dmytryk
Boston/London: Focal Press. Near Fine. (c.1984). First Edition. Softcover. [tiny diagonal crease at bottom corner of front cover, small bookstore rubber-stamp on title page]. Trade PB (B&W photographs) INSCRIBED by Jean Porter Dmytryk on the title page: "For / _____ & ___ -- / So here it is! Fresh off / the press. Everything you'll / ever need to know. / Love," and SIGNED "Jean" and "Eddie." This is "a lively dialogue between husband-director and wife-actress about screen acting." Mrs. Dmytryk's feature film career began in the mid-1930s and ended in 1955 "after the filming of THE LEFT HAND OF GOD when she married her director," it sez here -- except whoever wrote that cover blurb didn't do their homework, since the pair had actually been married since 1948.
