This early issue includes a recap of the 1973 Philadelphia Gay Pride Day, an article about feminist activist Jan Welch, an interview with pro-gay Metropolitan Community Church founder Troy Perry, an announcement of the opening of Giovanni's Room bookstore (now the longest continuously owned gay bookstore in American), and an article about being a lesbian in Philadelphia.
