Los Angeles: Nate D. Sanders Fine Autographs & Memorabilia. Near Fine. 2014. First Edition. Catalog. [nice clean copy, slight wear to extremities]. (B&W and color photographs, facsimiles) 144-page catalog, offering a wide array of personal possessions of memorabilia from the estate of acclaimed writer Ray Bradbury -- 462 lots in all, including: numerous artworks (paintings, drawings, prints, posters) owned by Bradbury, some related to his own work, some not; poems, notes, and doodles in Bradbury's hand; signed/cancelled checks; contracts; plaques and awards; a couple of bottles of wine; furniture and household items; photographs; personal items (including clothing, e.g. "Ray Bradbury personally owned herringbone jacket worn while he wrote the screenplay for MOBY DICK in Ireland"); etc. This sale took place about two years after the writer's death, which at least was a decent enough interval -- not always the case with dead-celebrity-stuff auctions. The cover illustration is a reproduction of the Dean Ellis painting which served as the memorable cover art for the 1969 Bantam paperback edition of Bradbury's book "The Illustrated Man." NOTE that this copy of the auction catalog does NOT contain a list of the prices realized at the actual sale. .
