Wear to the edges of the boards, especially at the corners.~~The First Edition of Martemont's "Theory of Field-Fortification" which was printed several times in the 19th century. Martemont's Treatise was used by him in preparing students at The Royal Artillery Institution in Woolwich. Martemont was "late a captain in the French royal artillery, and master of fortification and artillery in the royal military academy". Very Good binding.
