A Set of 47 Process Cards with recipes and complete instructions to prepare chemical solutions of lacquers and finishes... This fan-out page 'book' offers a line of formulations for industrial users. Each card includes a description of the product followed by the ingredients and quantities for the solution and concluding with preparation and application instructions. Each card is numbered at the bottom left. Examples include: Black Nickel Solutions - Gun Metal Finish, Gold Plating Solutions for Lighting Fixtures, Statuary Bronze Oxidize and Heavy Brown Dip for Copper. The set is held together with a large brad at top and fans out to expose the full card. The set was designed to be added to. The back inside cover indicates additional cards for new finishes would be added monthly. It was also designed to keep the set together Measures 7" x 4 1/2'. The company adopted the "Egyptian" name in 1892, when archeological explorations in Egypt revealed ancient artifacts were preserved with a lacquer-like coating. Over the years these coatings have a solid history for developing environmentally safe coatings.
