Very Good binding. 8vo.; in the publisher's green cloth binding with titling in gilt to the upper board; 62 pages; no ownership or other marks in the book. The front hinge is partially cracked but is holding well.~~Two rather incongruously paired talks -- Principles of Business and Shakespeare -- given by John Langbourne Williams, Virginia banker and lawyer, and fiscal agent for the Confederate Government. After the war he established the firm of John L. Williams and Sons. The address, Principles of Business, was read before the Faculty, Students and Alumni of Washington and Lee University on November 14, 1906; Shakespeare was read before the Woman's Club of Richmond on November 26th, 1906. Mr. Williams died in 1915 and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery.~~. Very Good binding.
