n.p.: n.p., 1850. Very good.. Hand-colored panorama depicting the costumes of Italian people from a variety of walks of life. Although lacking publication information, this work fits squarely in the tradition of European "costume catalogues," which cover various regions, countries, and religions. Costumes included are ciociara, donna di albano, pescatore, sonninese, pifferari, pastore, and mosciarellaro. 4.5'' x 3.5''. Original marbled boards. Green endpapers. Seven hand-colored illustrations. [7] pages in accordion-style fold-out, printed one side only. Some rubbing to boards, particularly around spine. Occasional tiny soiling to leaves. Colors vibrant.
