1931. Unbound. Near Fine. A collection of 30 sepia-toned linen-backed photographs measuring 5" x 7" with typed captions on the verso. Slightly curled else about near fine. An archive of images from a salesman depicting samples of various luggage designs he was selling. An archive of images from a salesman depicting samples of various luggage designs he was selling. Each photograph includes the product, product number, and the year 1931 written in the negative and a full description of the product on the verso. One photo reads, “Style #130 (Army Locker) Construction: Body is of selected kiln dried white wood covered with heavy fibretex in and out; Binding: Hard vulcanized fibre; Lining: Tray paper lined, one partitioned; Color: Body chocolate brown with seal binding; Hardware: All brass plated, metal cross bands on cover.” Some of the images feature the different sizes available for the luggage and others mention “special features” such as a footlocker with a tray that is “built to U.S. specifications.”
