Broadside playbill for a performance of Tancredi in Frankfurt am Main on 8 December 1824

Performers include Demoiselle Erhardt, Herr Niefer, Madame Brauer, Herr Dobler, Herr Linter, and Madame Urspruch.

Slightly worn and creased; untrimmed; minor dampstaining to upper left corner. Tancredi, Rossini's first international success, was first performed in Venice at La Fenice on 6 February 1813 and in Munich in August of 1816 (in Italian) and 1821 (in German). Loewenberg col. 630.

The location of the performance is established through the address of the ticket office "Bieber-Gasse", a street located in Frankfurt. In addition, a notice in the periodical publication "Didaskalia oder Blätter für Geist, Gemüth und Publizitat," issue 343, 8 December 1824, announces a performance that day of Tancredi in Frankfurt, featuring "Demoiselle Erhardt" from the Royal Estates Theater in Prague.
