By [MOZART, Wolfgang Amadeus 1756-1791]
London: Lowndes, 1818. Narrow folio (ca. 315 x 195 mm). On thin paper. Text in English.

The program included "A New Divertisement, composed expressly by Mr. Giroux;" "the popular Tragic Melo-drama, ... George Barnwell;" "a Comic, Heroic, Operatic, Tragic, Pantomimic, Burlesque, Burletta Spectacular Parody, under the title of Don Giovanni" with music by Mozart, Arne, Blow, Dibdin, Gluck, Handel, Purcell, Viotti, et. al., "the dances under the Direction of Mr. Giroux. who will dance a Spanish Bolero, with Miss Simpson;" "To conclude with the splendid Comic Melodramatic Burletta ... Duke and the Devil," all performed "For the Benefit of Mr. Rorauer, Box-Book and House Keeper."

Slightly worn, foxed, and creased. An amusing playbill filled with charming jokes and witticisms, providing a valuable look into middle-brow public entertainment in London in the early 19th century.
