Wrappers somewhat worn with minor chips and tears to edges; spine worn and chipped, laid down to blue cloth. Minor foxing; some signatures split, most loose; former owner's signature dated 1896 to upper outer corner of free front endpaper; former owner's signature to upper margin of title and 3 leaves; small publisher's handstamp to lower outer corner of title. First Edition.

First performed in Paris at the Opéra Comique on 30 December 1878.
