By Charles Ray
New York: Olympic Productions and Matthew Marks Gallery, 2014. Near Fine. New York: Olympic Productions and Matthew Marks Gallery, 2014. First Edition. Large Folio (45x33cm). Item consists of seven bifold folio sheets on heavy white stock, inserted into each other, but not fastened or bound, to allow for reassembly. All sheets printed in color recto and verso, with eight of the surfaces devoted to life-size sections of the young man's body; other images-some 175+ of them-show the production process for creating the statue. The sheets are held within their original archival, printed, resealable, clear plastic sleeve.

Printed sleeve and printed "volume" are clean, crisp, and unmarked. This is not a remainder, but was the gift of Matthew Marks to Brenda Richardson, former director of the Baltimore Museum of Art, previous and sole owner.

The statue is solid stainless steel. (Take that, ye hollow, lightweight Riace Bronzes!) Ray is perhaps best known globally for the "Boy with Frog" that stood at the Punta della Dogana in Venice. The sheets in this publication are designed so you can reassemble them into a life-size 5'10" naked friend.
