Twenty halftones; 3 maps (one a double spread at the centerfold) on 14 unnumbered pages including the wrappers. 4to, 9 1/4 x 8 1/8 inches folded to 9 1/4 by 4 1/8 inches. One other copy located: University of Wyoming. Dating is based on a timetable on the penultimate page for service to and from San Francisco and Los Angeles. The Yosemite Valley Railroad (1907–1945) was a short-line railroad in California, mostly following the Merced River from Merced to Yosemite National Park, carrying both passengers and freight. Despite the railroad’s name, it did not serve the Yosemite Valley, but ended at the park’s boundary due to the fact that construction of railroads is prohibited in National Parks. Passengers would disembark for the park at El Portal, and take a stage coach, and later, in 1913, a motor coach, to Yosemite Valley
