Lowell, MA: Lowell Police Department, Sunday, June 28, 1903. 6" x 23" broadside, single column text below photograph of the fugitive, Joseph Agenor Lamothe, and headline, bottom half of text, also with a headline, is a French translation. Moderate toning, horizontal fold lines, a few with minor tears, tiny stain to left-hand margin near center of text, small chip and tear to center of bottom edge, contemporary manuscript note near top of text stating that Lamothe was arrested on July 4 in New York City. $750. * Lamothe was dating Georgiana's sister, Alexandrine. Georgiana disapproved, so he shot her. The broadside has an unusually detailed description of Lamothe's upbringing, education, employment, personality, habits and physical appearance. (Records show that Lamothe was shot during his arrest. He died from his wounds on July 6.).
