Book condition: Good with yellowed edges and a two-inch cutout in head of map, slightly affecting text. Brightly colored dot stickers and neat highlighting mark the journeys of former owner. Map depicts the mountainous region of Lhasa and its major roads with insets indicating journey points such as the Nepalese Embassy, conversion rates, and tourism bus times. Despite the abuse by former owner, map provides a fascinating look at early twentieth-century tourism in the far east.
