(The demonstration began in the Battery and marched to Union Square). Banners can be seen for the Russian National Mutual Aid Society, The Maxim Gorky Club, and signs advocating the release of the Scottsboro Boys, higher wages to meet the cost of living, and (in the rear) an end to lynching.
