New York: Culver Pictures, 1934. Unbound. Very Good. Gelatin silver wire photo. Measuring 10" x 8". Corners with some creasing, verso with stamps, pencil notations, and three blank labels, very good or better. A striking photograph of a 1934 May Day demonstration in Union Square, New York City. (The demonstration began in the Battery and marched to Union Square). Banners can be seen for the Russian National Mutual Aid Society, The Maxim Gorky Club, and signs advocating the release of the Scottsboro Boys, higher wages to meet the cost of living, and (in the rear) an end to lynching.
