Photograph. Very Good +. Rare vintage photograph of San Francisco, probably pre-20th century, almost certainly pre-1906. Appears to be a panoramic shot --possibly from Telegraph Hill?-- of The Marina and San Francisco Bay. The headlands of Marin are off in the distance and the span which the Golden Gate Bridge would come to occupy several decades later is visible in the backdrop. The photograph, which measures 7 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" tall, is mounted on off-white cardstock and is clean and bright and very well-preserved in its sepia tones. The photographer is unidentified but the quality of the work is plain to see.
