2 Samuel Beckett Mock-Up Photographs Created for Dustjackets

Photograph. Near Fine. 2 mock-up photographs of Samuel Beckett, both designed to appear on dustjackets of his books. The photo of the younger Beckett was chosen for the front dustjacket cover of his "Three Novels: Molloy, Malone Dies and the Unnamable" by Grove Press (1959). And the photograph of the older Beckett was earmarked for the Faber (The UK) edition of "Ends and Odds: Plays and Sketches" (1977), though a different photo from the same shoot was ultimately chosen instead to appear on the cover. These 2 trial photographs are clean and bright and show almost no wear (save for a bit of rubbing to the younger Beckett photo) and they measure 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" (younger Beckett) and 4 1/2" x 6" (older Beckett). Uncommon as such, in these pre-publication states.
