Octavo; 753pp. Second-issue dust jacket with $3.00 price intact and author photo with blurbs on back. Bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering. Jacket shows a large chip at head of spine, losing "The" and the tops of "Fou," with a smaller chip at tail and over flap folds; scuffing to joints and folds, with a few punctures to back fold along fore-edge, a number of shallow tears and adjacent creasing along edges; tape repair to interior with a few waterspots to spine verso, not visible to jacket exterior. Boards lightly bumped at corners and nudged at spine ends, with fading along edges and at head and tail and a vertical crease to cloth down spine. Prior owner's gift inscription on front free endpaper, else pages unmarked. Binding is secure. Typed post card laid in dated December of 1951 from Blackstone College of Law, Chicago, correcting a pricing error on an enrollment offer.
