Dorr, Howland & Co, 1841. Hardcover. Acceptable. First edition from 1841, missing map. Front board is loose. Brown leather boards are very rubbed and scratched, with bumped, frayed corners. Leather on spine is peeled raw, and gilded lettering is partially worn away. Spine ends are chipped and soiled. Despite loose front board, binding is still good. Page edges have extensive dark staining, pitting, and soiling. First two pages have irregularly chipped edges and some small, torn holes. Pastedowns have scribbled marks and dark spot stains. Pages are clean and unmarked, with toning and age-related spots. LO
