Westchester County, New York: Westchester Lodge No. 180, 1866. Very good. Letter folds. A couple spots.. An emotional printed appeal from the leaders of Westchester Lodge No. 180, reporting on a devastating fire suffered by residents of Sing Sing (i.e. Ossining, New York), including two Lodge members by the names of Samuel C. Nichols and Jacob T. Cocks. The Lodge members lost their homes and belongings in the fire, which occurred on September 9th, 1866. The fire started in a barn, and displaced approx. fifty families, but led to no casualties. Printed leaflet measuring approx. 8" by 5" with blind stamp of the Lodge at the foot, ink manuscript note in bottom right-hand corner reading, "Rec'd Nov 21st 1886 + [?] on file care of investigation appropriate Wilkie, Ramsdill(?) + Bancroft
