Chicago, Illinois: Chicago Institute of Astrology, 1906. Fine.. Three (3) items relating to the Chicago Institute of Astrology, including: one bifolium (9" by 6") advertising the Institute's mail-order horoscope service; one original typewritten horoscope (11" by 8.5") with original illustrated envelope; and one blank order slip (8.5" by 5.5") with original printed envelope. The bifolium, titled "Astrology as a Guide in Life", details how horoscopes and astrology can elucidate the role of three themes in a person's life: "Business or Profession", "Financial Possibilities", and "Love and Marriage". It concludes with a plug for its mail-order service, which sends customized horoscopes starting at the low price of $2.00. We have sadly been unable to determine who this particular horoscope was meant for, but do know that they were a Libra who was "best adapted for mercantile pursuits" and "inclined to kidney, bladder, and wasting diseases" due to the "polarization of the moon and planetary conditions at birth.
