The King's Stilts (Very Early Edition)

New York: Random House, 1939. Boards. Near Fine/Very Good +. A very sharp copy of this early --but not 1st-- edition of Dr. Seuss's 3rd published stand-alone children's book. Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, price-intact ($2.00), VG+ dustjacket, with several small closed tears along the panel edges. By all accounts, this apperars to be the 2nd printing, with the "200/200" price on BOTH the front and rear flaps, the mention of only "Mulberry Street" and "The 500 Hats" on the copyright page and the reference to "Horton Hatches the Egg" on the top of the rear flap. Solid and very well-preserved.
