Boston, Massachusetts: Horace Partridge. Fine. Some light toning.. Printed song sheet (9.25" by 6.5", printed in two columns, verso blank) with lyrics to the comic song "Lazy Club!", sung to the tune of "Green grow the Rushes, oh!". Told from the point of view of a frustrated husband, the song tells the story of his lazy wife, children, and dog; it ends with him lamenting, "And now I am in a pretty mess, through their cursed laziness; and now my debts I cannot pay, in prison [I] shall be obliged to lay. When I am there, the lazy elves, they'll be obliged to help themselves, and no doubt when they're in want of grub. They must get it from the Lazy Club." Horace Partridge (d.1902) was a successful Boston business owner known for successfully cornering the Christmas toy market.
