Publisher's quarter embossed cloth and paper-covered boards, printed paper spine labels. Contemporary light owner's name on both title pages. Boards are toned and worn at the edges, shallow loss at head and tail of spine, spine labels chipped and toned, good or better overall with scattered foxing. Scarce in the original boards featuring a notable early example of American embossed book cloth.
